This workshop has been designed to provide more advanced specialised skills and knowledge for those working in Residential Aged Care and NDIS. It is a developmental workshop which can be attended by those who want to further improve their skills and knowledge and are ready to take the next step to more complex care scenarios.
There is a theoretical component in the training which creates a framework, however, the primary focus of the workshop is practical and hands-on. Participation is critical and important to get the best outcomes from the training.
We will demonstrate 11 standardised On bed and Off bed safe operating procedures, eight of which are new and are not covered in the Essentials workshop. We will also demonstrate competent handling techniques for mechanical lifting devices and other adaptive equipment.
At the completion of the workshop there will be adequate time to clarify any topics covered during the training as well as any questions you may have.
