Competency Driven Manual Handling Solution This program is a bespoke, competency driven, Manual Handling Solution for residential aged care providers. It is designed to complement a strategic Work Health & Safety initiative of Injury Prevention and better workplace design. Fully customised to your requirements, nevertheless still providing the important components of a system that will ensure your direct and non direct care staff remain safe at work. All of the training is in person, often workshop style, which delivers the perfect balance of theoretical understanding and practical skills so that your team is ready for the ever increasing care needs & rigours of Residential Care.
We have found from experience that a program that runs throughout the year providing workshops and training, at a pace that suits your facility, tends to work best. This allows frequent opportunity for those who require further training or have been absent from work to be included, which only makes compliance easier to attain. Workshop style is the most effective method for your direct-care staff whereas an interactive classroom style for your Ancillary & non-direct care staff works effectively as well. Either way, participation is critical and important to get the best outcomes from the training. We always strive to make this subject matter fun and engaging, this not only makes it a better learning experience for all of the attendees but we have also found that it has a great impact on recall and application many months after the training. We say, “Learn More, Lift Less, Care Better”
At the completion of each workshop or training there will be adequate time to clarify learnings covered during the training as well as any additional questions you may have. A feedback process will be provided if you require
